Yesterday I presented at the Small Town 140 Characters Conference in Hutchinson, Kansas. It’s a very unique, fast-paced conference with lessons and stories on how to use social media and the real-time web. This particular conference was even more unique in that it was in Hutchinson, Kansas and the focus was on the small town. The 140 Characters Conference is usually presented in much more exotic locations, but probably non as unique as the Fox Theater in downtown Hutchinson.
A couple of hundred people from the midwest and the entire country, descended on Hutchinson to share their experience and advice. It was a magical day and indicative of the power and reach of social media. Speakers were given 10 minutes to complete their talk and there were no breaks between speakers. I was blessed to be one of the speakers, the video of my presentation is below. Thanks to Jeff Pulver and Becky McCray for making Small Town #140Conf such an awesome event!
