It’s becoming increasingly important to be found in the local search engines. People prefer to find information about local businesses through search engines rather than in the yellow pages. As you can see in the video, if you want to make it into the local search results, you either need a website or a listing in Google’s Local Business Center. It’s probably better to have both. Claiming your local listing in Google is free and easy to do. While you’re at it you should probably claim your listings in Yahoo, Bing, and Yelp too. Just click on these links for each search engine’s local business center.
